אני חגי בנדרימר, התחלתי לתפור בגיל 20, קצת תיקוני בגדים פה ושם ואז התחיל כל הקטע של כיפות בד. קרצה לי האפשרות של להכין משהו לעצמי, משהו שאני אשמח בו. הכיפה הראשונה שתפרתי הייתה מבד של מכנסיים שתפרתי ביד. עם הזמן השתכללתי בתפירה, במגוון הבדים וגם בתעוזה ובדמיון.

בוכרה נולדה מתוך רצון להפוך את האהבה למקצוע לחבר בין יהדות לאסתטיקה ובין קודש לחול .ההשראה שלנו מגיעה מהבית, הצד הבוכרי שאולי לפעמים לא ממש מורגש .. השתדלנו להכניס לכיפות שלנו את הצבעוניות והאותנטיות ואת האופי היהודי-מסורתי התמים והמאמין.
